3 Steps to Massive Change

Why haven’t you made the changes you keep talking about?

Uncomfortable question I know, but I want you to honestly answer it.

If you’re like most people, the likely reason is because you believe change is hard, that it takes too much time. But honestly, it’s pretty simple and doesn’t take much time at all.

Personally, I believe that change happens instantly. Yes, this goes against everything we’ve ever been told. Most people believe that change has to be this monumental struggle that the fail at time and time again.

Don’t believe me? How many people do you know who struggle to lose their extra weight? The thing is, a lot of those people are people who actually want to lose the weight, but never seem to do it.

So, I ask you. What is the biggest part of your life that you want to change? Lose some inches? Exercise to reverse that preventable diabetes? Fit back in to those sexy jeans you have?

What is keeping you from making those changes?

Tony Robbins (we probably all know him) but if you don’t, Tony Robbins is a world renowned professional and motivational speaker. Tony Robbins believes that the preparation for change is what takes the most time. Once all is said and done, there's one instant when the change actually occurs. I wholeheartedly agree with him on this.

So, how do you instantly create that change?

Take a look below.

Step 1:

To make a lasting change, the first thing you really need to do is to truly believe that something in your life MUST change.

So, what's more important?

  • Do you kinda want to be in shape?

    • Do you absolutely have to lose that extra weight?

  • Does dropping a few pounds sound good to you?

    • Or would you rather live a few more years without heart disease?

In order to reinvent yourself, you must believe that things must change.

Step #2:

Step 2 in this process is to believe that YOU must change it.

As with everything in life, taking responsibility is vital to make a difference. Yes, it’s true that other people may help you along the way, but in the end, you are the one that is going to make things happen. So, take responsibility, because honestly, if you fail or succeed there's no one to hold responsible but yourself.

Step #3:

The last tip, and one that is easily as important as the others is, you must believe that you CAN change it

.

Humans naturally dwell on past failures, so what I need you to do is stop stressing and worrying about all of the other times you’ve tried and failed. Believe in yourself. Believe that YOU CAN make the change you’re looking for.

Most people fail to make the change because they rely on willpower to succeed. This works, for a little bit, but you’ll eventually go back to whats comfortable.

So, how do we fix this?

We change what your idea of comfortable is. We’re motivated by 2 main things. Avoiding pain & gaining pleasure. So, when you want to change a behavior the key is to associate the pain with a behavior you don’t want and pleasure with a behavior you do want.

So, switch the way you associate things. For example: You want to lose weight, and you know to do that you need to do the following.

  1. Stop eating junk food

  2. Exercise regularly

Until now you’ve associated eating junk food with pleasure and exercise with pain.

It’s time to retrain the way your brain feels in regards to exercise and junk food.

How?

Think about all of the negative things you’re feeling in regards to being overweight, now connect those negative things with your habit of eating junk food

Now think about all of the benefits and wonderful things about being in shape and associate those with exercise.

We’re all capable of making massive changes in our life.
