Secrets of Clean Eating



We’ve all heard this term hundreds, if not thousands of times at this point “Eat Clean”. The whole purpose of clean eating is to help promote fat loss, and overall obtain a healthier diet that your body can benefit from.

 

Yes, it sounds simple when you say it like that, but it’s pretty challenging to stick to a clean eating plan. Just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.

 

I have a few secrets for you that should make the whole process much easier and allow you to stick to it for longer than ever before.

Keep It Balanced

So many of the “clean eating” strategies and plans tell you the way to win is to only eat from one specific category of foods: Soup, Fruit, Salad, Chicken Breast. Yes it’s true that these foods can help promote fat loss and reduce your calorie intake. It also pretty much ensures that you’re going to fail with your goals. 

I’ve yet to find a person who can stick to a single food super restrictive diet for an extended period of time. So why in the world would you try and stick to that, unless your goal is to fail? If you want to make your clean eating last, you need a balanced diet with a wide range of healthy foods. 

Label Free

Over the years you’ve probably said the words “I’m on a diet” hundreds of times. Have you ever stopped to think about how you feel when saying those words? It feels overbearing, oppressive, and lackluster. Not to mention you almost instantly want to cheat on your diet just because you said the words. 


So, don’t label eating clean as a diet! To be honest here, if you even think of clean eating as a diet you’re going to fail. This isn’t a diet, it’s a way of life. It’s something that you should be so attuned to do that you don’t even think about the decisions you’re making. 

Patience Young One

The key to success in anything is patience, this is no different. I know it would be great to see these amazing results a week after clean eating. But, you didn’t put on the extra weight you’re trying to lose in just one week, so why expect to lose it in a week?

I’ve said this in a few other articles, and it rings true here as well. Embrace the small victories. Every single pound you drop, every inch you lose, every day that gets easier.

These are all small wins, and they all build on each other to get you towards your ultimate goal. Embrace the little wins, track the little wins, and before you know it, you’ll have that big win you’ve been looking for. 

Plan It Out

This is the key to your success, the most important step in your entire clean eating journey. I promise, if you don’t use this tip you’ll travel aimlessly through this journey. So take some time to plan everything out. 

Write down your do’s and don’ts of your clean eating plan. Write out your goals. Write out the steps you’ll take to stay on track.
