Tips To Success

What does success look like to you? When you think about your life at this point in time, how would you rate your success so far? What does “Success” look like to you when you think about your future?

There are so many ways success can be explained, and it's all dependent on the individual's goals. For some of us it may be to earn boat loads of money. For some others it may be to finally overcome the fear that they’ve had their whole lives.

Success can be defined many ways, but the one constant in every definition is the completion of some sort of goal. You can ask anyone for an example of someone who’s successful and they’ll have an answer immediately. So how did these successful people get there? Obviously, hard work and time... but was there a roadmap of sorts to get there?

As I’ve searched for the answer to that question, I’ve come up with a list of tips that I would say, might qualify as a rough draft to the roadmap we all search for.

Stop Feeling Sorry For Yourself

What I mean by this is, take responsibility for your actions. Results don’t just come to you out of thin air, we need to act in order to achieve results. Through your journey you may feel that you haven’t gotten the results you’ve expected. For most of us that is probably due to the fact that we tend to be gentle with ourselves when we take action. We give ourselves excuses for why we didn’t get the results we were looking for. When instead we should take a close look at our actions, and make a plan to adjust them to be successful.

Do Something Scary

Find something that challenges you, something that seems difficult to accomplish, maybe even something that makes you slightly fearful. Would it be worth it to overcome those fears you have? Is this something that would help you achieve success? That fear is probably excitement, you just don’t know how to process it correctly.

Be Objective with Your Challenges

We as humans have a habit of projecting our fears onto any challenges, we’ve set for ourselves or that pop up along the way. Due to the projection of those fears, we typically make errors in our judgement that tend to cause a negative response to those challenges. Seeing our challenges and viewing them objectively allows us to respond appropriately. By being objective, we allow our brain to engage creative thought processes that help guide us towards our success.

There’s a few more tips I plan to share that should help you on your road to success. For now, study these tips and apply them to your life. How can following the tips above have an impact in your life over the next week? What could YOU accomplish when you apply these simple changes?

Take some time over the next week to TAKE ACTION and make a path towards your success.
