Hi guys so today has been a long day already and it is only 3:15! We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with Rei as he is starting to FINALLY take a bottle and eat solids!! YAY US! So he must have been starving as soon as he started taking more he is eating about 1/2 jar of baby food two times a day, having 2 oz of formula when he first wakes up in the morning and then for his last feeding before overnight but he is still taking the breast 6-8 times daily. And even with all of this new formula and food in his diet he still nurses to sleep, and then wakes to nurse after his first 4-hour stretch then every 2 hours after that!
Our goal this weekend is to start sleep training since he is actually taking the solids and the formula. His doctor seems to think that he should be able to sleep through the night at this point. If I am being 100% honest even 4-hour stretches would make me happy! He has been super clingy since his 4-month shots, and not feeling too hot, so I have had a baby literally attached to my hip for the past week and a half.
Any who I wanted to share with you guys today a recipe for salmon! I know many people aren't fond of salmon but I also know there are many of you who love it! I decided to go with a salmon recipe because it is good for mothers to be, nursing moms, seasoned moms and even just your average person trying to make healthier decisions. This is by far one of my favorite ways to eat salmon. So I hope that you guys enjoy it as much as I do!

Ingredients: 2 8 oz Salmon Fillets Freshly Ground Pepper Pink Himalayan Salt 2 Lemons (Sliced into thin slices) 4 Tbsp Grassfed Organic Butter (I like Kerrygold & Kate's) 2 Tbsp Honey 4 Cloves of Garlic, Minced 1 Tsp Chopped Fresh Thyme 1 Tsp Dried Oregano
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven 350 degrees F. Grab two pieces of tinfoil big enough to fit 1 fillet in each. Lay slices of 1 lemon in the center of one piece of foil and slices of the second lemon in the center of the second piece of foil. 2. Season both sides of your salmon with sea salt and pepper. 3. Place salmon on top of the slices of lemon. 4. Whisk together butter (melted), honey, garlic, thyme, and oregano. Pour 1/2 this mixture over 1 fillet and the remaining over the 2nd fillet). Fold foil up, and place in the oven. 5. Bake for 20-25 minutes depending on the strength of your oven. You want to make sure your salmon temps to 145 degrees F. 6. Turn your oven to the broil option (I recommend high) and you are going to broil it for 5 minutes. The mixture should thicken. 7. Enjoy it, because it is sooooo tasty!!

PEACE LOVE & HAPPINESS. LOVE THE SKIN YOU'RE IN. #BBTE
